The first member of your team is the Architect. They are responsible for the overall design of the project, ensuring it meets your needs and aspirations while adhering to planning regulations and building codes. They create detailed plans and drawings, and often oversee the project to ensure that the final result matches the original design intent.

Next, we have the Structural Engineer. Their role is to ensure the stability and safety of the project. They calculate the loads and stresses the building will have to withstand and design the structural elements such as the foundations, walls, and roof accordingly.

The Quantity Surveyor is another key member. They manage the financial aspects of the project, helping you to stay within budget. They prepare cost estimates, manage contracts, and oversee the financial progress of the project.

The Building Services Engineer designs and oversees the installation of essential services such as heating, ventilation, and electrical systems. They ensure these services are integrated into the design in a way that is efficient and aesthetically pleasing.

Lastly, there's the Builder or Contractor. They are the ones who physically construct the building or carry out the extension work. They work from the Architect's drawings, under the supervision of the Architect or Project Manager. They coordinate the work of different tradespeople, such as carpenters, plumbers, and electricians, to ensure the project is completed on time and to a high standard.
